From the first message to a healed tattoo: what to expect and how to prepare.

How to proceed if you want a tattoo from me

1. Be clear about the main idea

What matters most to me is not having an exact picture right away. What matters is the idea, the main theme and the reason you want the tattoo.

If it is clear what the tattoo should express and what it should mean, our collaboration will start much more easily and together we can create a design that makes sense for you.

2. Not sure yet?

That is perfectly fine. If you are hesitating or unsure how to approach the theme, I will gladly help you clarify the idea.

We can meet in person for a consultation in my studio in Vsetín, or talk everything through by phone, e-mail, Instagram, WhatsApp or Messenger.

3. Before you contact me, look at my work

Please go through my gallery carefully first and consider whether my style is really what you are looking for.

I specialise mainly in realistic and surrealistic tattoos.

If you are looking for geometry, lettering, fine line / linear art or another style you will not find in my gallery, I recommend looking for a tattoo artist who specialises in it.

That is the best path for both of us – the result will be a tattoo that matches your expectations and my way of working.

4. Once we agree, the collaboration begins

Before we start, a non-refundable deposit of CZK 2,000 is required.

Paying the deposit starts our collaboration: I begin working on your design and reserve your date.

5. You receive the design in advance

I send you the finished design well before the tattoo date so you have time to look at it calmly and, if needed, agree on adjustments.

Important

You do not need to know exactly what the finished tattoo should look like. But I do need to know what it should mean to you.

That is what our collaboration and the joint search for the right design are for.

How the tattoo process works

I want your tattoo to be not only a result but also a pleasant and safe process. I devote time to every motif before the session itself – from the first idea, through the design, to the care of the fresh tattoo.

Below you will find everything worth knowing before you contact me, and how to prepare for the tattoo.

1. Enquiry and first contact

Before you write to me, try to clarify above all the main idea and meaning of the tattoo. You do not need an exact picture of the final motif – I will gladly help with that.

For the first contact, send me:

  • what the tattoo should express or what it means to you,
  • your idea of the motif,
  • the placement on the body,
  • the approximate size in centimetres,
  • reference photos, if you have any,
  • and, if possible, information about your availability.

If you are unsure about the motif, its composition or placement, we can discuss everything together at a consultation in my studio in Vsetín or online.

Is my style right for you?

Before your first message, please go through my gallery and see whether it matches what you are looking for.

I focus mainly on realism and surrealism, on detail and on the artistic treatment of the motif. If you are looking for pure lettering, geometric tattoos, bold linework or another style you will not find in my work, a different artist will probably suit you better.

It is important to me that we are a good fit not only personally but also artistically.

2. Deposit, design and consultation

Before we start, a non-refundable deposit of CZK 2,000 is required.

The deposit confirms our collaboration, reserves your date and is then deducted from the price of the tattoo.

Once it is paid, I start preparing the design. I send it to you well before the date so there is room for comments and fine-tuning.

My goal is not just a pretty picture but a design that works on the specific place on your body, matches your ideas and ages well over time.

Larger or more complex motifs may need several sessions. We plan them with enough time in between so the skin can heal properly.

Before the tattoo

A good tattoo begins before you arrive at the studio.

We tattoo into the skin, so its current condition strongly affects both the work itself and the final look of the tattoo. You do not need to do anything complicated – what matters most is healthy, clean, hydrated and non-irritated skin.

Take care of your skin

If the skin at the tattoo placement is dry or neglected, start moisturising it regularly, ideally several days to weeks before the date.

After a shower or bath, apply moisturiser gently and you can lightly massage the area as well.

If you want to exfoliate, choose a gentle scrub and start at least 1–2 weeks before the tattoo. Do the last exfoliation no later than 7 days before the session. Do not irritate the skin right before the tattoo.

If your skin is irritated, sunburnt, injured or otherwise damaged, let me know in advance.

Body hair

If there is noticeable hair at the placement, do not shave the skin with a razor right before the date.

A razor can cause small cuts, irritation or redness. The hair can be carefully trimmed instead.

If the skin is irritated or injured on the day of the tattoo, the date may have to be moved.

24 hours before the tattoo

Skip alcohol. Do not drink alcohol before the tattoo.

Come rested and fed. Get enough sleep and eat well before the session. For a longer tattoo, bring something small to eat and drink as well.

Caffeine in moderation. If you know you are sensitive to caffeine, limit it before the tattoo. Too much coffee or energy drinks can increase nervousness, sweating or heart rate.

Medication and health. If you take medication regularly, have health limitations or are unsure whether a tattoo is suitable for you, contact me in advance.

Never stop taking medication that affects blood clotting on your own without consulting your doctor first.

Also tell me about any allergies or reactions to disinfectant, latex or other materials.

When to postpone the tattoo

Please do not come for a tattoo if:

  • you are ill or have a fever,
  • you have an acute infection,
  • the skin at the placement is irritated, sunburnt or injured,
  • you do not feel well,
  • you are taking antibiotics or being treated for an infection.

If you are on antibiotics or have another health issue, please contact me and we will find a solution based on your current condition.

A tattoo breaks the skin barrier and the healing that follows is a certain strain on the body. I therefore want you to arrive for the session in the best possible shape.

On the day of the tattoo

Come:

  • rested,
  • fed,
  • well hydrated,
  • in comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo placement.

Ideally wear clothes you do not mind getting ink on.

For a longer session, bring a drink, a snack and feel free to bring headphones, a book or something to keep you busy during breaks.

I take care of the rest.

3. The session itself

Before we start, we go over the placement and size of the design together once more, and small adjustments can be made right on the spot.

During the tattoo it is important to me that you feel safe and comfortable. If you need a break, a change of position, a drink or anything else, just say so.

For longer sessions we take breaks as needed.

4. After the tattoo

Once we finish, you receive specific instructions from me on caring for the fresh tattoo, and I explain what to expect during healing.

Care does not end when you leave the studio. If you have any doubts or questions during healing, or are unsure whether something is right, contact me.

Age

As a rule I tattoo clients aged 18 and over.

Clients under 18 need the prior written consent of a legal guardian and the guardian's presence at the session. I send the required form in advance.

Terms

  • Deposit: CZK 2,000. It is non-refundable, reserves the date and is deducted from the price of the tattoo.
  • Rescheduling: The date can be moved free of charge up to 48 hours in advance. A later cancellation, rescheduling or no-show forfeits the deposit.
  • Alcohol and other substances: If you arrive for the session under the influence of alcohol or other substances, the tattoo will not be done and the deposit is forfeited.
  • Companions: For reasons of space, privacy and safety, at most one companion is possible. For safety reasons children do not belong in the studio.
  • Design: The tattoo design is my original work created for you. Without my consent it is not intended for further use, copying or passing on to another person.

And above all…

You do not need to know everything before your first visit.

Part of my work begins before the tattoo itself – listening to what you want to express, finding the right path and together creating a design that makes sense not only on paper but above all on your body.
