How it works
From the first message to a healed tattoo: what to expect and how to prepare.
Four steps to a tattoo
1. Enquiry
Send me an e-mail or an Instagram message: the motif and what it means to you, the placement on the body, the approximate size in centimetres, reference photos and when you are available. I reply within a few days with whether and how I would take the motif on.
2. Consultation and design
We discuss the motif, size and placement in person or online. Once the deposit is paid I draw the design and we refine it until it fits you and your body. Small final adjustments happen on the spot before the session.
3. Your date
The deposit reserves the date and is deducted from the price. Larger pieces are planned over several sessions a few weeks apart so the skin heals in between.
4. Session and aftercare
You arrive rested and fed; the atelier gives you calm and comfort. You leave with aftercare instructions; once healed, we arrange a check-up photo and a touch-up if needed.
Before the tattoo
- 24 hours before the session no alcohol and no drinks that raise blood pressure (coffee, energy drinks). Stop blood-thinning medication only after consulting your doctor.
- Come rested and fed. Bring a snack and a drink for longer sessions.
- The skin at the placement must not be sunburnt, irritated or injured.
- Do not come ill and do not take antibiotics (for at least a week before the session).
- Wear comfortable clothes with easy access to the placement, ideally dark: ink can stain.
- Tell me in advance about health conditions: diabetes, bleeding disorders, high blood pressure, epilepsy, allergies (disinfectant, latex, pigments) and medication you take.
- Contraindications: infectious diseases (hepatitis, HIV), pregnancy and breastfeeding, acute illness.
Age
I tattoo clients aged 18 and over. Clients under 18 only with the written consent of a legal guardian who is present at the session; I send the form in advance.
Terms
- The deposit reserves the date and is deducted from the price of the tattoo.
- The date can be moved free of charge up to 48 hours in advance. A later cancellation or a no-show forfeits the deposit.
- If you arrive under the influence of alcohol or other substances, the session does not take place and the deposit is forfeited.
- Companions: one person at most. For safety reasons children do not belong in the atelier.
- The design is an original work. It is made for you and I do not pass it on to anyone else.
What to bring
An identity document, food and drink for a longer session, headphones or a book. I take care of the rest.
